Guide to overcoming over-eating, over-thinking, over-anything; anything that we engage in in an effort to block out, numb, or avoid underlying discomfort, issues or inner-conflicts.I explore the 'I' of the S.H.I.T.E. Guide and explore isolation, loneliness and disconnection. As humans, this is a powerful evolved need and one we often dismiss as minor or unimportant. Unless, that is you happen to have experienced it yourself.
I explore the difference between solitude and isolation and why the former can be positive, whilst the latter can be overwhelmingly negative. I share how this is not just a psychological pain, but how it affects us physically and for good reason. I also share some thoughts and tips on how to start to reconnect and how we can use our physical habits and mindset to bolster our need for social connection when it isn't at its best.
